Maintenance Technician

Function

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. The technician performs routine preventive facility and machine maintenance and maintains a high quality standard through good maintenance practices.

• Clean and inspect machines for worn, damaged, or mis‑aligned parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.
• Work knowledge of pneumatic systems, fluid handling, and electrical systems.
• Respond to calls in a timely manner and troubleshoot manufacturing breakdowns to prevent downtime.
• Replace or rebuild worn guides, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Perform boiler startup, blowdown procedure, and facility water treatment.
• Follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures when working on equipment.
• Multitask in a high‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Adhere to general housekeeping, communication, and safe work practices.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

• 1st Shift – 7a‑3p; 2nd Shift – 4p‑12a

Shift hours may vary due to production requirements.

• Must be a team player, willing to assist in other areas when necessary.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems required.
• Machine maintenance experience required.
• Basic electrical experience preferred.
• Pipe fitting, HVAC, and facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
