We are seeking a CNC Programmer to support manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for a variety of machining equipment. This role is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, creating efficient machining programs, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain CNC programs (G-code) for mills, lathes, and 5-axis machining centers
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications to develop machining programs
  • Select cutting tools, optimize machining strategies, and improve cycle times
  • Support machine setup, fixture development, and production startup activities
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues to minimize downtime
  • Verify finished parts meet quality and engineering specifications
  • Create and maintain setup sheets, programming documentation, work instructions, and job aids
  • Develop and support rework processes and manufacturing procedures
  • Process engineering changes and maintain manufacturing documentation
  • Utilize LN/IPREP ERP systems to support production and manufacturing processes
  • Support quality audits and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
  • Determine tooling, fixturing, and processing requirements to meet production schedules
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other operational excellence initiatives
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment
  • Assist with employee training and support the effective utilization of the manufacturing workforce
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, G-code, machining processes, and tooling
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Siemens NX, Mastercam, or Solid Works
  • Experience with Teamcenter Manufacturing, PLM, or Siemens NX is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience supporting production, process improvements, and manufacturing engineering activities
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
