Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Four-year state-certified mold-making apprenticeship preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining multi-cavity, close-tolerance molds.
• Experience troubleshooting mold and tooling issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and Solid Works designs.

Job Duties:

• Clean, maintain, repair, and change over production molds.
• Troubleshoot mold and tooling issues and determine root causes of quality concerns.
• Perform corrective repairs to return molds to production.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate repair, maintenance, and production records.
• Assist with mold setup, machine operation, and production support activities.
• Perform material handling, reel changes, and basic housekeeping tasks.
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Collaborate with technicians and production teams to support manufacturing operations.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Mold Maintenance Technician.
• Capable of interpreting blueprints, CAD, and Solid Works.
• Possess a thorough understanding of mold manufacturing concepts.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
