Schedule Details / Additional Information

Join our APP team caring for patients receiving infusions for a variety of specialties, including GI, rheumatology, neurology, and immunology at our state of the art new location in downtown Winston Salem. Urgent care or Emergency Medicine background preferred. Must be licensed to treat adult, pediatric, and pregnant patients (PA-C or FNP). 10‑hour day shifts, 2 days per week (total of 20 hours per week, qualifies for part‑time benefits).

No weekends or holidays.

Pay Range

$51.05 - $76.60

Explore an exciting opportunity with AHWFB's state of the art new location Outpatient Infusion Department as we eagerly welcome a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic outpatient clinic team in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Essential Functions
  • Using medical decision‑making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team‑based care.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
  • Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines.
  • Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects.
  • Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners.
  • Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitment.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program;
    Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA.
  • BLS certification required.
Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Requirements
  • Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Master's degree or higher required.
  • Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
  • BLS certification required.
