Are you a skilled Registered Nurse passionate about electrophysiology and leadership? Novant Health is looking for a dedicated EP RN Lead to guide our specialized team and elevate patient care in our advanced cardiac electrophysiology unit.
PositionElectrophysiology (EP) RN Lead
Location:
Cardiology Clinic, Winston‑Salem, NC
Employment Type:
Full Time 40 hours per week, 8am‑5pm
- Lead and coordinate complex electrophysiology procedures with precision
- Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and promote patient safety
- Knowledge of all Novant approved implantable devices including single, dual, multi‑lead pacemakers
- Knowledge of single, dual, multi‑lead internal cardiac defibrillators
- Ability to work with internal implantable loop recorders, and operate, interrogate, program and re‑program all listed devices based on protocols
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Proven experience in electrophysiology nursing or cardiac specialty care
- Minimum of three years EP expertise as demonstrated by the ability to operate, program, and validate all Novant approved vendors
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required; EP or cardiac nursing certification preferred
- Education:
High School or GED required; graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required;
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred - Experience:
Experience in a physician office practice setting required - Additional skills: successful completion of generic and department‑specific skill validation, competency testing, EP clinic skills; basic life support, ACLS certified
