About the Position
Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU RN – North Carolina

Schedule:
12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required
Highlights:
26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
Patient ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 1:1 or 3:1 based on acuity
13-week assignment with 24 hours of orientation
Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support team
Specialization in stroke management, ICP monitoring, seizure management, and critical drip titration
Float opportunities to other ICU and intermediate care units
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience mandatory – first-time travelers cannot be accepted
Active RN license (NC or Compact state license required at start)
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
Competency with ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry
Experience with EVD management, lumbar drains, and temperature management systems
Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, and vasoactive drip titration
Strong background in post-neurosurgery care and traumatic brain injury management
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
