Salary Range: $27.50 - $32.75 hourly

Job Shift: 7p.m. – 7a.m. 3/4, Every Other Weekend

• Reports to Nursing Manager/Supervisor
• Supervises workflow of CNAs

• Direct, instruct, teach, coach, correct and discipline RAs and medical unit secretaries to develop an effective team and assure quality work
• Verify identity of residents receiving medications, mix or assemble drugs, administer drugs, observe ingestion and record on MAR
• Document effectiveness of PRN drug on MAR
• Maintain up-to-date medical records and document reasons for non‑administration of prescribed drugs
• Assist with assessment of resident needs
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers as necessary
• Collect and communicate information on resident conditions
• Assure accountability for controlled drugs
• Report supply needs to appropriate personnel
• Report pharmaceutical needs to appropriate personnel
• Perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Dress wounds, give enemas and douches
  • Apply hot and cold compresses as needed
  • Operate EKG, suctioning equipment and O2 equipment
  • Obtain specimens for laboratory
  • Perform venipuncture
• Perform duties and tasks that may be assigned on an as‑needed basis by the Director of Nursing or another authorized supervisor

• Lift 30 lbs. without mechanical assistance
• Push residents weighing up to 200 lbs. in a wheelchair
• Turn, bend, stoop and stretch to assist patients/residents
• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program

• Strong verbal communication skills; ability to read, write and speak fluently and correctly in English
• Ability to embody and uphold Arbor Acres’ corporate personality and culture of warmth, caring, community, enthusiasm, excellence and joy
• Bilingual skill is a plus but not required

Graduation from a recognized LPN or RN program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing

• License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• Valid and active North Carolina driver’s license
