Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.The unit will accept 13-week contracts.
Shift hours are primarily from 06:45 to 15:15, Monday through Friday.
Call requirements usually involve being available one time per week from 5 PM to 7 AM.These needs may change due to call-outs.
If weekend staff is off, the weekend will be considered call as well.
Holiday rotation is included.
Candidates may float to other surgical service areas.
There is a potential weekend requirement if weekend staff is off.
Patient Diagnoses include women ages 12 and up.
Special procedures in the unit include various gynecologic procedures such as therapeutic abortions.
Robotic hysterectomies are performed, but no oncology cases are included.
The unit employs a variety of surgical techniques ranging from vaginal and abdominal to laparoscopic procedures.
Diagnostic and operative laparoscopies and hysteroscopies are also performed.
The unit utilizes specialized equipment including Da Vinci, Novasure, and Myosure.
The primary systems in use are Pyxis and Epic.
Interdisciplinary support services such as interpretation and phlebotomy are available.
The daily census ranges from 5 to 12 patients.
The unit has three operating rooms.
