Census 18-20/day

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years in Psych nursing

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adults 18 - Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Suicidal Ideation,

Patient Ratios:

RN: 1:6
MHT: 1:12

Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS, CPI

Skills required:

Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal and de-escalation communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels.
De-escalation, experience with physical restraints, medical restraints, medication passes, comfortability to run groups (not required), documentation.
May have patients who are recently Postpartum, if they have compounding psych diagnoses requiring inpatient treatment.
Open Day room unit all dx not a designated detox center, but some people are naturally detoxing.
