• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in applicable state.
• BCLSrequired.

• Teaches anddemonstratesproficiencyin patient physical assessment skills, patientcareand nursing skills (i.e.mobility, respiratory care, nutrition, pain management, oral care, preventing infection, lift equipment, vital sign monitoring equipment).
• Reinforcespolicies and procedures,protocols and guidelines with nursing staff.
• Coordinates nursing centered rounds and bedside reporting in conjunction with the Nurse Manager/Case Manager with an ability to phase in multidisciplinary rounds
• Provides service line specific unit educational programs in collaboration with preceptors and Nursing Practice Development Specialist (NPDS) in class settings, informal on-site settings. Monitors compliance and attendance rosters.
• Ensures the quality of professional services bydemonstratingand maintaining competency through updatingknowledge and skills and continuing professional growth.
• Communicates in an effective, positive, and professional manner role modeling behaviors associated withdepartmentalexpectations.
• Collaborate with nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, preceptors and NPDS to design, implement, and evaluate the nursing unit’sorientation and annual needs assessment education plan.
• Creates andmaintainsa safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, andfacilityincluding assisting in teaching interpretation of and developing strategies to address nurse sensitive indicators and performance improvement.
• Supports provision of age/developmentally appropriate patientcarein accordance with
  
  Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Ability to work collaboratively andmaintainconfidentiality.
