Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Travel RN – Neuroscience / Surgical ICU

Schedule:

12-hour nights

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer

Requirements:

• 2 years of ICU/critical care experience
• ACLS certification
• BCLS certification
• NIH certification
• Familiarity with ICP monitoring/EVD care
• Ventilator management experience
• Experience in stroke/CVA and post-neurosurgery care
• Ability to titrate vasoactive and sedative drips
• Arterial/central line management skills
• ABG interpretation skills
• Ability to recognize/manage dysrhythmias and seizures

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a neuroscience and surgical ICU setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage invasive lines and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP).
• Administer medications and IV fluids, including titration of drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Recognize and manage medical emergencies, including seizures and acute stroke symptoms.

Compliance / Notes:

• Up to 7 days of time off pre-approved (no holidays).
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• No time off during the first week.
• All time off must be pre-approved.
• EKG testing required before start.
• Candidate must go into the lab within 48 hours after signing for pre-start testing.
