The newborn nursery at Brenner Children's Hospital, part of the Dale and Karen Sisel Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), is one of the largest and most comprehensive in North Carolina. The nursery features state-of-the-art, single-bed units designed to provide individualized care and minimize infection risks. What Youll Do:
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA/PNP will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities include:
The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program;
Master's Degree preferred - Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA
- Minimum of one year of provider experience in newborn medicine
- BLS and NRP are required
Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC) Requirements:
- Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Masters degree or higher required
- Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care (PNP-AC) by AANP or ANCC
- Minimum of one year of provider experience in newborn medicine
- BLS and NRP are required
