Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

Critical Care Nurse – CVICU

Shift: Days 06:45–19:15 Hours offered: 36 or 48 per week

Contract lengths accepted: 13–26 weeks

Minimum 2 years critical care experience

CVICU or open heart experience required

Travel experience required

NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

EMR: EPIC (preferred)

Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries.

Monitor and manage complex cardiac patient needs, including use of advanced devices.

Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, and perform titrations as needed.

Conduct assessments and interpret diagnostic tests, including ABGs and dysrhythmias.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.

Document care and patient progress accurately in electronic health records.

Orientation:
Hospital week-one classes required.

COVID-19 vaccine:
Not required. Flu vaccine required (with medical/religious exemptions allowed).

Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

No RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved.
