Position Overview

A significant result of the nursing shortage is the limited number of qualified nurse educators. Adjunct faculty are an integral part of the curriculum and faculty structure in the Division of Nursing (DON). Without adjunct faculty, the DON would be unable to meet nursing program instructional needs. Adjunct faculty focus on excellence in instruction and engagement, serving in classroom, clinical, and/or online environments.

They provide clinical and practicum supervision, collaborate with healthcare agencies and professional organizations, and coach and mentor students throughout their academic experience.
