Description:

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could potentially result in a cancelation and DNR. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Travel experience is acceptable; first-timers are welcome. Local candidates are accepted. Skills required include IV start and telemetry. Certification in BLS is mandatory;

ACLS is preferred. The unit accepts 13-week lengths or longer. The shift is during the day, from 06:45 to 19:15. 36 or 48 hours may be offered. Block scheduling requests will be reviewed by unit management on a case-by-case basis. Floating may be required occasionally. Candidates must work every other weekend. Patient population includes surgery patients, such as colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, urology, and vascular.

The unit utilizes systems such as Pyxis, SBAR, and Epic. Self-scheduling is based on unit needs and with input from the nurse manager. Candidates must have a teamwork approach and adhere to behavioral expectations. The call-off policy is strictly enforced. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. All testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing. No additional RTO requests are permitted after signing.

Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per the job description.
