Lead LPN – Arbor Pediatrics

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location:

Arbor Pediatrics – Winston-Salem, NC

Position Summary

The Lead LPN serves as a clinical resource and leader for the pediatric care team, providing hands-on patient care while supporting daily clinic operations. This role serves as a subject matter expert in pediatric care and Novant Health processes, providing guidance and support to LPNs and other clinical team members.

The Lead LPN will help promote high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care while serving as a resource for questions, clinical workflows, and day-to-day operational needs. Leadership experience is strongly preferred.

  • Pediatric/clinical experience strongly preferred.
  • Leadership or lead-level experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in pediatric clinical care and Novant Health processes, policies, and workflows.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to LPNs and clinical team members.
  • Serve as a resource for staff questions related to patient care, clinical workflows, and office procedures.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, document patient information, and prepare patients for provider visits.
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and other pediatric clinical needs.
  • Monitor expiration dates of medications, vaccines, supplies, and other clinical items and ensure expired products are removed appropriately.
  • Assist with telephone triage and respond appropriately to patient and parent/caregiver questions within scope of practice.
What We're Looking For
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required. Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of demonstrated leadership, training, and process improvement.
    • Experience in the physician office practice setting, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Current LPN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation, competency testing, and Basic Life Support.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred):
    Leadership development.
