Position Overview:
This role involves providing specialized support in the Operating Room, working in a full-time weekend schedule with rotations during the week and holiday call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and ensure availability of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
- Assist with room setup and maintain sterile conditions in compliance with infection control standards.
- Serve as a scrub and/or circulator during surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
- Minimum one year of relevant operating room experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- For inactive licenses over five years, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reinstatement.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control.
- Ability to function effectively in scrub and circulator roles, anticipating team needs.
