Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Agency Director serves as the clinical leader for Veridia Home Care and is responsible for the oversight of all clinical services provided by the agency. The RN Director ensures the agency operates in compliance with North Carolina Home Care Licensure Rules, Medicaid Personal Care Services (PCS) requirements, and all applicable federal and state regulations. The RN Director serves as the primary clinical resource for the agency and plays a key role in maintaining quality care and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as the agency's designated Registered Nurse in accordance with North Carolina Home Care regulations.
- Ensures completion of all initial client nursing assessments, required re-assessments and implementation of Plan of Care as required by NC Regulation and Medicaid PCS guidelines
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision of Personal Care Aides (PCAs) and other direct care staff.
- Ensures review and maintenance of all clinical records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assures clinical education, training, and competency validation for caregivers.
- Participates in hiring and orientation of direct care staff as needed.
- Ensures that timely investigations are completed regarding any clinical incidents, complaints, and concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Participates in the agency's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Assist with state surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensures collaboration with physicians, case managers, hospitals, managed care organizations, families, and community partners to coordinate client care.
- Report clinical concerns and compliance issues to the Administrator and recommend appropriate action.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience; home care or community-based care experience preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Services are provided in client homes with varying environmental conditions. Employees may encounter pets, smoking, stairs, and other household conditions.
