Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a healthcare facility
Responsibilities- Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate duties to nursing staff and monitor their performance.
- Observe patients for symptoms or reactions indicating adverse changes.
- Notify physicians of emergencies or patient deaths and implement physician orders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
- Valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; renewal proof required biannually.
- Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage.
- Ability to provide quality care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
- Yearly CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
