What You’ll Do Quality Leadership & Manufacturing Partnership
- Own all U.S. product quality issues and drive continuous improvement from customer-reported findings.
- Develop standardized quality procedures and best practices across U.S. operations; report performance metrics to executive leadership.
- Communicate findings to domestic and international manufacturing facilities and ensure corrective actions are tracked, validated, and closed.
- Lead root cause analysis and support production audits, factory visits, and final inspections as needed.
- Set and maintain quality standards across multiple warehouses throughout the country
- Conduct quarterly on-site audits covering receiving, handling, damage prevention, storage, and shipment prep.
- Coach warehouse teams on inspection procedures and continuous improvement, and ensure consistent execution network-wide.
- Own and reduce the total cost of quality, including oversight of a major retail partner’s returns (RTV) process.
- Analyze warranty claims, returns, allowances, and freight damage; improve classification and reporting accuracy.
- Build KPI dashboards to track quality trends and financial impact.
- Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Operations, Distribution, and Supply Chain to improve reporting and corrective actions.
- Oversee the U.S. Customer Service department and the Parts Department, ensuring timely resolution of customer quality concerns.
- Manage the current Customer Service team (one full-time plus part-time support), with room to scale as the business grows.
Approximately 3–5 days per month on average, including quarterly visits to each of the warehouses throughout the country, plus travel to customer sites and manufacturing partners as needed.
What We’re Looking For Required- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, QA processes, and continuous improvement methodologies within a furniture manufacturing or distribution environment
- Excellent analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Experience with manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, or quality management software.
- Demonstrated success building collaborative relationships across operations, manufacturing, customer service, sales, and executive leadership.
