Description of WorkBroughton Hospital is accepting applications for full-time Food Service Assistants to work 40 hours per week. The primary responsibilities include serving foods, minor food preparation, and cleaning all stations within Nutritional Services. The position also serves as backup for the Employee’s Café.
Responsibilities- Operate wash ware dish machines
- Maintain high standards of sanitation
- Serve foods and perform minor food preparation
- Perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time
Preferred:
Experience serving and/or preparing food in a commercial or institutional kitchen.
- Selected applicants must pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check.
- Complete and pass BLS/CPR training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.
- Must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals operating under the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). The hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, providing care and support for individuals experiencing mental illness.
Recruitment InformationHiring salary is based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
