Position Overview
Deliver exceptional customer service and high‑quality eyewear to patients and customers as a Licensed Optician at Lens Crafters.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers and set clear expectations
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription lenses
- Act as a leader in optical knowledge and customer service
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
- Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions
- Use technology accurately under time pressure, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and using appropriate tools
- Be proactive, explore root causes of issues, and proactively solve problems to exceed expectations
- Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time among competing priorities
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPI’s and competencies
- Maintain store appearance, helping to keep the environment clean, attractive, and organized
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
- Stay resourceful, self‑motivated, and dedicated to continual learning, improvement, and results
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
- High school graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Experience in optical dispensing
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills and ability to use an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Embrace new technology and change
- Previous customer service and retail experience
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first‑class total rewards package.
