We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a relationship-focused sales professional with experience in the multifamily housing sector. The Business Development Manager will help expand market presence by building strategic partnerships with property managers, owners, and developers. This individual will represent the organization’s commitment to rapid response, high-quality service, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and grow new business by executing a strategic sales plan
- Network with industry and non-industry professionals to build relationships
- Develop new clients through cold calls, appointments, and referrals
- Host and participate in company-sponsored and industry events
- Educate clients on services and solutions
- Research and identify prospective customers within the assigned territory
- Present services to potential clients in a professional and consultative manner
- Attend after-hours industry and networking events as required
- Build strong customer relationships and successfully close sales
- Collaborate creatively with leadership to penetrate new business opportunities
- Minimum of two years of B2B outside sales experience focused on new account generation
- Experience selling services preferred; multifamily, commercial, insurance, or senior living industry experience is a plus
- Proven success developing new business and generating leads within a defined territory
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Consultative selling approach with the ability to build trust
- Proficiency with web-based CRM platforms and mobile sales activity tracking
- Demonstrated B2B sales experience with commercial clients and agents
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings and desk work
- Travel required for client meetings, conferences, and networking events
- Ability to walk extended distances when attending events or meetings
- Occasional lifting or carrying of materials up to 20 pounds
