Location:

Ideally based in North Carolina (your teams is located throughout the East Coast, so this would be a good central location).

Salary + Company Truck + Excellent Perks and Benefits!

This is an opportunity for a strong Field Service Technician, Lead Technician, or Telecommunications Technician to take the next step into leadership while continuing to use their technical skills and stay close to the work they enjoy.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop a talented field service team
  • Improve preventative maintenance and service processes
  • Work directly with customers and operational leadership
  • Solve challenging technical problems
  • Make a visible impact on service reliability and customer satisfaction

This company provides technology and communication services to customers across a broad network of client locations. As the Field Service Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in keeping systems reliable, coordinating field service activities, and ensuring customer issues are resolved quickly and thoroughly.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee field maintenance operations across multiple client sites while working alongside your technicians to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications equipment and infrastructure
  • Perform hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on phones, tablets, kiosks, network hardware, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and related infrastructure
  • Respond to customer complaints, service impairments, and network outages and lead the team through timely resolution
  • Diagnose recurring equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules across multiple client sites
  • Review and prioritize trouble tickets and assign technicians based on urgency, geography, and available resources
  • Create and manage the on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and emergency response
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex field issues
  • Review completed maintenance work, service tickets, and field documentation for quality and accuracy
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop Field Maintenance Technicians
  • Provide performance feedback and hold team members accountable to established standards
  • Partner closely with the Director of Operations and client/facility personnel
  • Stay current on telecommunications equipment, technology, and maintenance practices
  • Travel regionally, including occasional overnight stays, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule

We need an experienced technician who can lead from the front... someone who is comfortable picking up the tools, troubleshooting a difficult problem, and then turning around and coaching a technician through the same issue.

Requirements include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or an Associate's degree is preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications equipment and circuits
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience
  • Experience managing or participating in on-call/after-hours field service operations
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience with telecommunications, network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber, or related systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites, technicians, and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, clients, and internal teams
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to do up to 75% overnight travel (mostly along the East Coast, but could be Nationwide as needed)
