Role Description This full-time, on-site Service Technician role is based in Winston Salem, NC. The Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair food service and retail equipment at customer locations and within the company facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing service reports, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers about service needs, timelines, and solutions, while representing the company professionally.
The Service Technician will collaborate with the service team, follow safety standards, and keep tools, parts, and work areas organized.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair skills with the ability to perform routine and complex equipment service.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues efficiently.
- Experience in Field Service, including working at customer sites and managing service calls.
- Solid Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and ensure a positive client experience.
- General Maintenance abilities for inspecting equipment, performing adjustments, and supporting preventive programs.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to commercial or industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer locations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or related fields is preferred.
- Capacity to lift and move equipment, stand for extended periods, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
