Case Manager

Responsibilities

• Conduct airport pickups and provide warm receptions to newly arrived immigrant households
• Coordinate permanent housing placements, full home setups, and basic-needs provisioning
• Assist clients with applications for Social Security cards, state identification, and eligible public benefits
• Coordinate required refugee health assessments with local health departments
• Facilitate school enrollment and orientation for school-aged children
• Screen clients and issue referrals to internal programs and external community resources
• Provide specialized case management for vulnerable immigrant individuals and families
• Conduct comprehensive strength and needs assessments
• Co-create, implement, and monitor personalized self-sufficiency plans
• Manage clients throughout the service period with regular check-ins and progress evaluations
• Maintain accurate case documentation, file tracking, compliance, data collection, and outcome reporting
• Collaborate with the Programs Manager, program staff, Volunteer Coordinator, volunteers, community groups, and advocacy networks
• Connect clients to wrap-around community services and deliver holistic care

• Mature and personal Christian faith
• Commitment to World Relief's mission, vision, and values
• Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
• Ability to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
• Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to pass MVR standards
• Experience in case management, health education, or related fields required
• Experience with refugee or vulnerable populations preferred
• Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong understanding of challenges faced by refugees and immigrants, including trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution
• Fluency in English required
• Proficiency in a second language highly desirable
• Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or similar field preferred
• Cross-cultural experience preferred
• Bilingual ability in Arabic, Swahili, Spanish, French, Kareni, Burmese, Pashto, or Dari preferred

Strong commitment to community service and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to communicate effectively and provide holistic care.
