Level: 6-month internship with possibility of contract extension depending on business needs, performance, and ongoing team requirements. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time opportunities.
Role OverviewAs an Intern in AI & Automation, you will play a critical role in transforming healthcare IT implementations. You will work directly under the lead for PS Transformation & Automation to bridge gaps between R&D, Professional Services, and delivery of solutions to clients. Your primary focus is identifying operational bottlenecks and assisting in the creation, deployment, and management of innovative AI & Automation solutions that enhance project delivery and measurement.
This hands‑on, project-based internship is designed for a systems‑thinker passionate about applied AI. You will build – develop agentic workflows, optimize prompt libraries, and maintain digital infrastructure that enables consultants to focus on high‑value client strategy. This role is fully remote, for a distributed team of experts in healthcare IT and automation.
- Tool Development & Setup:
Assist in initial configuration and deployment of AI‑driven tools to streamline healthcare IT operations. - Workflow Engineering:
Partner with the PS Transformation lead to identify and document operational bottlenecks within the customer lifecycle ripe for AI intervention. - Tool Deployment:
Assist in initial configuration, testing, and deployment of AI‑driven tools. - Knowledge Sharing:
Act as resource for Professional Services staff, creating “cheat sheets” and documentation to adopt automation best practices. - Operational Intelligence:
Help identify and document operational bottlenecks solvable through multi‑model AI solutions. - Impact Measurement:
Help develop and maintain dashboards or reports to track time saved and efficiency gained through implemented automation projects.
- Educational background:
Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related STEM field. - AI Literacy:
Foundational understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures. - Technical Aptitude:
Comfort with APIs, JSON, and basic system integration fundamentals. - Collaborative mindset:
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a remote, cross‑functional team. - Creative perspective:
Proactive problem‑solver with an “outside‑the‑box” mindset to find non‑obvious solutions.
- Scripting skills:
Practical experience writing Python scripts or building workflows on platforms like , Zapier, or n8n. - Domain interest:
Interest in the Healthcare IT industry and desire to understand how technology improves patient and provider outcomes. - Translational communication:
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders clearly. - Experience in the Healthcare industry:
Experience working or volunteering in a healthcare environment, familiarity with clinical workflows and/or operations.

Regular 1:1 sessions with the Lead for PS Transformation & Automation and exposure to senior engineers and consultants. - Professional Development:
