Overview
Position Purpose
The Aviation Logistics Specialist supports Contractor Maintenance Support (CMS) operations by executing daily Material Control program requirements in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790 series. This role ensures timely availability, accountability, and traceability of aircraft parts and materials required to sustain MV-22 aircraft readiness in a high-tempo, 24/7 maintenance environment at MCAS New River, NC.

Scope of ResponsibilityThe Aviation Logistics Specialist is responsible for day-to-day execution of Material Control functions supporting O-Level maintenance operations. Duties are performed in accordance with NAMP 4790 series guidance, contractual requirements, and squadron material control procedures, and require close coordination with maintenance personnel, maintenance control, and Government representatives.
Key Duties And Responsibilities- Execute daily Material Control program requirements in accordance with NAMP 4790 series.
- Manage requisitioning, receipt, issue, turn-in, and tracking of aviation parts and components.
- Maintain accurate records of material status, inventory transactions, and supply documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely availability of parts required for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Identify and report material discrepancies, delays, or shortages impacting maintenance execution.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of aeronautical components and materials.
- Support audits, inspections, and material reviews as required.
