OVERVIEW:
The Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Services will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants
· Works with human resources to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees
· Interprets human resource policies for nursing staff
· Participates in in-service training
· Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required
· Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action
· Assists in administering the uniform policy for the facility
· Works with the Director of Nursing to schedule training classes
· Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Must be proficient in Excel and Word)
· Scheduling program (Smart Linx) experience preferred
· Knowledge of AHCA Regulations required
· Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.
