Position: (USA) Area Manager - Energy Center (Grocery) Automation

What You’ll Do

Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates). Implement the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing, scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).

Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing refrigeration reports. Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; monitor associate compliance; distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.

Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action and make recommendations to resolve concerns. Supervise and develop associates and leaders, assign duties, coordinate workloads, monitor performance, and provide feedback, teaching, supporting, and modeling logistics and company policies; identify training and development needs and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.

Manage the Energy Center Maintenance Department’s daily operations by diagnosing problems, developing repair alternatives, and taking action to repair electrical systems, electronics, and other areas related to refrigeration system assets. Monitor and ensure department performance in maintaining refrigeration equipment (e.g., electronic control systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, general building equipment).

Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA, PSM, EPA, NFPA, DOT). Manage financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures versus budget, monitoring asset utilization, and analyzing refrigeration reports.

Drive quality and safety standards by ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are in proper working order, investigating asset‑related incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
