An Electrical Designer
shall can produce comprehensive facility electrical designs under the guidance of a Project Engineer and, at a minimum, have the following capabilities:
- Understand basic electrical theory/calculations, electrical system components and devices.
- Must have the ability to comprehend and implement inputs and direction from the project engineer.
- Apply Revit, AutoCAD, photometric, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software to support project designs.
- Knowledge of codes
, standards, and best practices with the ability to apply them within the electrical design.
- Be able to develop and draft power, lighting and fire alarm plans, single line/riser diagrams, panel and light fixture schedules.
- Understand the components of the mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems that will require power and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the electrical design.
- Take personal ownership of the work produced.
This is a Direct-Hire. At least 4 years in Electrical Design for large, complex projects is required.
- Vocation school, military training, college degree, field experience, proven relevant technical experience.
- Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, photometric, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software.
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.
