Bay Care is currently in search of our newest Acute Physical Therapist Assistant (POOL/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. PhysicalTherapist Assistant Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic activities to improve strength, range of motion, and functional mobility.
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques for continued care and recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the hospital environment.
- Required associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months.
- Required Current state licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- CPR certification (BLS required).Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.
