Bay Care is currently in search of a highly skilled and adaptable Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team within a hospital-based, multi-disciplinary environment. This role supports high-acuity specialty programs, including but not limited to neurology, cardiopulmonary, oncology, trauma, and complex medical-surgical populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, acute care setting.

- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute-care patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, medical/surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on restoring function, mobility, and independence.
- Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and patient/caregiver education.
- Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team.
- Collaborate on discharge planning, including recommending appropriate next levels of care and durable medical equipment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds as needed and contribute to clinical decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with departmental safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and quality standards.
- Support mentorship, onboarding, and collaboration with therapy assistants and students as applicable.
- Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required:
PT (Physical Therapy) license - Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain
- Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
- Required:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy - Preferred: 1 Year physical therapist facility experience at Bay Care Health System, Rehab Services Main-WHH
