Winter Haven Hospital, part of the Bay Care Health System, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist – Clinical Fellow (CFY) to join our acute care rehabilitation team. This role provides a structured clinical fellowship experience designed to support the transition from graduate student to independent clinician through mentorship and hands-on patient care.

Speech Language Pathologist
- Clinical Fellow (CFY) Responsibilities:

• Complete a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in accordance with ASHA guidelines and standards.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Provide therapy interventions in an acute care hospital setting, supporting patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in discharge planning and contribute to continuity of care.

Requirements:

• SLP (Speech Language Pathology Provisional License)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Master's Degree Speech Therapy
