Florida Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centers is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Clinical Care Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care from diagnosis through treatment by serving as a key point of communication and support.

This job can be performed out of our Winter Haven and Lake Wales locations

Essential Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and estimate patient out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.
  • Communicate biopsy, pathology, and test results to patients as directed by providers.
  • Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and what patients can expect during their visit.
  • Schedule procedures and follow-up appointments.
  • Coordinate referrals to outside specialists when needed.
  • Communicate with patients through telephone calls, intramail, and Klara messaging.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), Availity, insurance carrier websites, and other practice systems.
  • Provide outstanding customer service with compassion, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Collaborate effectively with providers and team members.
  • Participate in cross-training and assist in other areas of the practice as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical office, clinical care, referral, authorization, or insurance verification experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance, benefits verification, and authorization processes preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high call volume while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and insurance portals preferred.
  • Commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
Schedule

Full-Time

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 30-minute lunch break
