Provide a variety of confidential, technical, and administrative support to the Director of Nursing.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS- LPN OR Associate degree in the medical field, social work, health education or other related field;
- At least 2 years of related work experience in a medical setting
- Working knowledge of electronic medical records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Responsible for tracking and trending all prenatal patients from inception to 6 weeks post-partum
- Assist with delegating tasks to Clinical Service Managers and ensuring follow through
- Assist with new clinic openings, including equipment and medication research for new specialty areas
- Assist as needed in clinics while Clinical Service Managers and/or staff are on PTO
- Assist with QI chart audits
- Review and update nurse manager training book
- Assist with onsite LPN and CMA interviews at local schools
- Assist with scheduling LPN and CMA student clinicals
- Onsite clinical staff assistance regarding new product education, productivity, chart prep, and any other educational opportunities as identified by the Director of Nursing
- Assist sites with logs, cleaning equipment, exam rooms, and storage rooms, in preparation for Joint Commission and HRSA visits
- Attend mandatory CFHC events, ribbon cuttings, ground breakings and after community wellness events
- Contact pharmaceutical companies to schedule meetings with new providers and staff for medication education and patient assistance programs
- Obtains information regarding labor, delivery, birth weight/length and post-partum records
- Run Reminder/Recall report for children and adolescents who are not up-to-date on all recommended vaccines within Fl Shots and EMR per site
- Coordinate vaccine data entry with nurse managers
- Provides nurse managers with PRN/Float availability, maintains schedule, and manages database of current LPN pool along with contact information
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships to facilitate carrying out instructions involving other departments, transmitting information accurately and tactfully
- Perform general clerical duties including organizing, filing, shredding and photocopying documents and files, schedule appointments, meetings and send out meeting notices
- Compose written correspondence and materials; create and update departmental forms; prepare minutes, reports, statistical data, and other materials pertaining to the nursing department
- Act as central point of contact for internal and external communication, including managing phone calls, emails, faxes, and mail
- Initiate, process and track departmental forms such as purchase orders, personnel requisitions, supply requisitions, printing requests and travel expense reimbursements
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision
- Detailed-oriented with skills in proofreading materials and data entry to ensure accuracy
- Knowledge of department policies, procedures, and practices with the ability to answer work related questions; and/or interpret and apply these guidelines correctly in various situations
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a tactful and courteous manner
- Ability both to take initiative and follow-through
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite
- Manage multiple projects by successfully prioritizing time and resources
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Nursing
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- The position may also require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
