Participate in the day-to-day responsibilities of the area while providing high quality customer service and adhering to the department’s operational standards. Effectively maintain the resort’s waste and recycling processes. Participate in delivering a positive impact of promoting the environmental and economic benefits of the environmental sustainability program and the carbon reduction plan for the resort.

• Responsible for the collection, sorting, and processing of various types of waste materials, including recyclables and general waste.
• Operate specialized waste management equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all waste management activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Ensure a safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recyclables throughout the resort.
• Support the waste and recycling operation. Enact efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of all waste and recyclables generated onsite.
• Ensure world-class standards are delivered, involving customer service with other departments and guest interaction.
• Oversee the daily operation, inspection, and general maintenance of the truck route vehicle during assigned shifts.
• Maintain waste compactors and a vertical strike-down cardboard baler during the assigned shift.
• Maintain waste and recycling containers throughout the resort from a quality perspective.
• Strictly adhere to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.

• Theme park or related customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to execute multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative.
• Leads by example with a demonstrated history of supporting colleagues, a team player.
• Strong problem-solving skills and dedication to providing outstanding guest service.

• High school graduate or General Education Degree (or equivalent education and experience).

• Ability to stand and move around for sustained periods while servicing all staging areas behind the scenes.
• Frequent movement and transport of waste and recycling containers up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent maneuvers of complete cardboard and shrink wrap bales with a pallet jack.
• Frequent unloading of recyclables into appropriate storage containers.
• Ensure finger dexterity sufficient for paperwork.
• Strong visual acuity for reading documentation.
• Auditory acuity for communication in diverse environments.

• Work across diverse indoor and outdoor environments, adapting to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and floor surfaces.
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Florida Driver License with a safe driving record for operation of Service Route Vehicles.
• Proof of insurance available.
• Must be able to drive a truck (F150) with a trailer; a CDL license is not required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Self-starter, able to stay on task with little supervision.
• Follow verbal instructions and adapt to rapid changing environments.
• Prioritize assignments and understand time management.
• Comfortable handling various types of waste and recyclable materials.
• Train to safely operate and maintain 35-yard waste compactors and vertical strike-down cardboard balers.
• Understand the physical demands of the job.
• Occasionally use specialized equipment such as pressure washers.
• Attendance compulsory.
