Position Summary

A private household is seeking a professional, full-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, discreet, detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating a comfortable, well-kept living space for the family. This position requires a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage daily cleaning and household tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces and furnishings.
• Make beds, change linens, and manage laundry (washing, drying, folding, ironing).
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness — wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and organize pantry and refrigerator.
• Restock household supplies and maintain cleaning product inventory.
• Manage garbage and recycling; ensure all areas remain tidy and hygienic.
• Care for fine furnishings, surfaces, and specialty materials using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Handle light organizational tasks such as straightening closets, drawers, and storage areas.
• Assist with occasional errands such as dry cleaning drop-off or light grocery shopping (if requested).
• Communicate effectively with household members and respect privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Care for household pets (cats and dogs).

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a private home or a similar environment is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and time management.
• Knowledge of proper care for fine surfaces, fabrics, and finishes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, and perform repetitive cleaning motions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must pass a background check and provide professional references.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Typical schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday (occasional weekends or evenings as needed).
• Flexibility for special occasions, events, or travel preferred.
