Area Manager - Floor; Grocery

Position Summary

As a key leader in our logistics operation, you will implement the business plan, manage staffing and scheduling, lead associate development, monitor productivity and quality, resolve customer and supplier concerns, and uphold Walmart’s values of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

• Communicate with and to individuals or groups verbally and in writing, including customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Implement the business plan for your area by setting goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility objectives such as production quality and safety.
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures, and by monitoring compliance.
• Distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
• Identify associate, customer, or supplier concerns by listening, consulting with others, determining corrective actions, and making recommendations for resolution.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders: assign duties, coordinate workloads, monitor performance, provide feedback, teach, model logistics and company policies, identify training needs, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1 year of Walmart Logistics Management experience.
• 2 years of Walmart Logistics experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience supervising associates.
• Experience with Walmart Logistics Systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics.
