Maintenance Technician – Winter Haven, FL
Job Opening: 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed). Starting wage: $26.00 per hour plus opportunities for overtime pay.
Responsibilities- Assist and/or perform all tasks required as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan per interval.
- Visually inspect equipment parts for damage and proper cleaning.
- Clean, lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components.
- Assist other maintenance personnel with dismantling defective machines and equipment and with installation of new or repaired parts.
- Perform maintenance and repair activities within budget for each area and monitor operator conformance to established operating conditions.
- Provide encapsulation equipment training to new and current machine operators.
- Schedule and ensure all preventative maintenance requirements are completed fully as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate levels of spare parts in stock to minimize downtime.
- Work with Production Planning to schedule all preventive maintenance work while minimizing downtime.
- Prioritize workload and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
- Adhere to company rules and safe work practices throughout each department.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
High School or GED.
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 2-4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment desirable.
- Experience working in industrial/commercial or hazardous environments.
- Ability to interpret P& schematics.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, valves, and actuators.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and carry out mechanical repairs on equipment such as motors, pumps, and valves.
- Understanding and input in the creation of risk assessments.
- Good understanding and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Coordination of contractor work in compliance with health & safety.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Electrical skills from 120 V to 480 V and control voltage 24 V.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic processing equipment.
ADM requires background check. Must be willing to continue training and development.
CompensationBase pay $26.00 per hour; overtime pay applicable for qualifying overtime hours. Salary range not disclosed.
