Job Description:
Provides specialized oncology nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and standards. Coordinates patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and follow-ups, to ensure comprehensive care. Monitors patient outcomes and adjusts care plans as necessary to achieve optimal results. Educates patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including documentation and reporting requirements. Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety. Conducts regular audits and reviews of nursing practices to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Provides ongoing training and professional development opportunities for oncology nursing staff. Utilizes evidence-based practices to inform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
Manages resources effectively to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies. Engages in research activities to advance the field of oncology nursing and improve patient care. Other duties as assigned.
