Travel PACU RN | x, Stipend

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Winter Haven, FL, requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS with at least 1 year of experience.

• Active FL RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required; first-time travelers with prior ICU experience will be considered
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• State Board of Nursing License Verification and NURSYS Verification required for consideration

• PACU unit within a 447-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Patient population includes surgical outpatients and inpatients, as well as interventional radiology (IR) procedure patients
• Post-op care for general surgical procedures and IR patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Variable shift start times between 9:00-10:00 and end times between 19:30-20:30 (4x10-hour day shifts)
• On-call required one night per week and every third weekend (days and nights)
• Scheduling is based on unit need with no blocked scheduling available
• Charting in Cerner
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Dopplers
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Provides post-operative care to general surgical and IR patients in a fast-paced PACU environment
• Candidates must be comfortable with a flexible, as-needed schedule - no blocked scheduling is available
• RTO requests may be verbally accommodated at the manager's discretion but cannot be written into the contract; candidates must be agreeable to this arrangement
