Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Winter Haven, FL
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical Oncology team. This full-time leadership opportunity offers the chance to provide exceptional patient care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in an oncology-focused acute care environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
- Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and support efficient unit operations
- Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to guide patient care delivery
- Serve as a professional role model, preceptor, and clinical resource for nursing team members
- Promote safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered oncology care practices
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor the quality of care delivery
- Support staff development, education, and professional growth initiatives
- Facilitate communication and share organizational priorities and unit goals with team members
- Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous improvement
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting required
- Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Oncology experience or nursing specialty certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
