Job Title:

Night Shift Lab Technician

Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing samples for testing, performing analytical testing using various methods, and conducting daily monitoring tests throughout the plant. You will utilize nitrogen headspace techniques and lab-scale sample preparation, while maintaining retained samples to confirm test results as needed.

Your role will involve documenting and reporting results accurately, notifying operations of any required adjustments, and managing data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Additionally, you will understand production processes and provide quality improvement recommendations to operators.

Responsibilities

* Prepare process and finished product samples for testing.

* Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry methods.

* Conduct daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant.

* Utilize nitrogen headspace techniques and lab-scale sample preparation.

* Maintain retained samples to confirm test results when needed.

* Accurately document and report results, notifying operations of any required adjustments.

* Enter and manage data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

* Understand production processes and provide quality improvement recommendations to operators.

* Perform light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.

* Maintain ongoing testing records and ensure daily data entry.

* Monitor and maintain adequate testing supplies; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.

* Verify equipment accuracy by comparing readouts to standards.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.

* Follow all safety procedures and complete required safety certifications.

* Comply with FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and company standards.

* Work collaboratively and maintain effective relationships with team members.

Essential Skills

* 2+ years toward a science-related degree.

* Prior laboratory or plant experience.

* Strong attendance history and demonstrated safety awareness.

* Experience with laboratory documentation and recordkeeping.

* Familiarity with standard lab equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winter Haven, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
