Job Description

The Certified Color Consultant serves as our industry steward, demonstrating dominance in all hair color retail. The role maximizes sales by creating increased customer retention and loyalty, building lasting relationships with DIY enthusiasts, and driving brand awareness. This position focuses on delivering an optimal customer experience and executing operational tasks while supporting loss prevention and safety practices.

Responsibilities
  • Brand:
    Provide an optimal customer experience and create customer retention by utilizing our selling behaviors, company sales directives, and omni‑channel approach. Ensure all customer transactions are complete and accurate to drive sales, deliver survey‑friendly service, and advise customers on color and care needs. Assist the team with meeting sales goals and generate cross‑category sales by introducing new categories.
  • Operations:
    Record all sales in the POS, handle monetary transactions, complete daily paperwork and reporting, perform bank deposits, price merchandise, process back stock, assist with shipment processing, and maintain store housekeeping. Support planograms as needed, open and close the store, and maintain technical expertise on products, policies, and programs.
  • People:
    Work well with coworkers to support customers and store needs. Collaborate with a wide variety of customers and associates, assist the Store Manager with onboarding and training new associates, mentor others in hair color knowledge, and advocate diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Safety/Loss Prevention:
    Comply with all safety, loss prevention, inventory control, and hazardous material procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co‑workers, and management clearly and concisely.
  • Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
  • Ability to execute product knowledge from training to support customer service.
  • Ability to explain product labels.
  • Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of iPad navigation and of Internet/social media platforms.
  • Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.
Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks and discomforts that require standard safety precautions typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and commercial vehicles. Employees must use safe work practices with office equipment, avoid trips and falls, observe fire regulations and traffic signals, and perform other duties that support store operations.
