Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the mechanical packaging equipment at customer sites in good working order. Technicians also interact with customers and make joint sales calls to offer solutions to customers with mechanical packaging equipment.
Principle Accountabilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
- Order and install replacement parts for machines.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Make necessary modifications; implement test runs; and make additional alterations to machinery as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and service calls.
- Make equipment recommendations to customers.
- Comply with company procedures and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of related experience preferred.
- Background in electrical, PLC, and processors along with strong mechanical skills.
- Some fabrication and metallurgy abilities needed.
- Experience with welding – stick, gas, MIG, TIG.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Good driving record and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
- Familiarity with mechanical setup equipment – tray machines and case erectors.
- Communication and computer skills with the ability to interact with customers, plant operations and sales group.
- Must be self‑motivated, manage time well, and be willing to travel.
- Salary range for position: $55,000 – $70,000.
- Bonus:
Annual – based upon individual contribution and overall company performance. - Paid Vacation:
Three weeks per calendar year. Pro‑rata vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. - Paid Holidays.

- Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401(k) plan. The plan offers both pre‑tax and Roth contribution options along with employer‑provided matching contributions.
