Fleet Maintenance Technician A
As a Fleet Maintenance Technician A, you will play a critical role in keeping Chick-fil-A restaurants running by ensuring our delivery equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to serve.
You'll work hands-on with tractors, trailers, and refrigeration systems to maximize equipment uptime and support a seamless delivery experience for Operators.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM (until the work is done). Flexibility is needed during weekends, nights, holidays, and being-on call.

Pay:
Starting $42.31+/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
As a Fleet Technician, you are a key driver in keeping our transportation fleet safe and operational.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and liftgates
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software
- Identify root causes of equipment issues and complete timely repairs
Safety & Quality
- Work safely while following federal, state, and company regulations
- Maintain compliance with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- You'll use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, drill press and jacks and hoists
- Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists
- Other duties as assigned
Fleet Reliability
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately in the maintenance system
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems, utilizing technology/software such as Cummins Insite, Davie 4, Road ranger 4, Bendix ACON, and Carrier E-solutions
- Operate a company vehicle to support roadside service calls when needed
- Inspect and maintain tools, parts, and equipment
Teamwork & Growth
- Communicate effectively with leaders and teammates
- Mentor and train other technicians as needed
- Support continuous improvement through problem-solving and feedback
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Technical Skills
- 4 Years of related experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing:
- Diesel engines
- Brake systems (air & hydraulic)
- Refrigeration systems
- Hydraulic liftgates
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to oversee and inspect the work of colleagues and coach required corrections
Certifications & Licensing
