- Move trailers to designated loading docks within the Borden yard facility.
- Spot and switch trailers as directed by dispatch or supervision.
- Initiate trailer cooling process prior to loading; check trailer temperatures and fuel levels.
- Clean, wash, and fuel trailers; inspect for damage and report any issues.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance on switcher tractors, including checking fluid levels and draining air tanks.
- Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) at the start of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of the spotter vehicle.
- Load, unload, sort, and stack pallets as needed.
- Assist with unloading empty cases, racks, and other equipment.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized loading bay.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
- Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles (no automatic restrictions).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food-grade products.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of accurately recording data. Bilingual skills are beneficial.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Ability to work in cold, damp environments and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Must maintain constant mental focus and awareness of surroundings.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending required.
