Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safe and timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory accuracy, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. The role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and assess job‑site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photos, as per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual methods, handling items up to 100lbs.
• Work in varied weather and noisy environments while reading job‑related documents in English.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Participate in safety compliance activities, including inspections and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Valid CDL ClassA or B with air‑brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated forklift operation skills and ability to work in varied conditions.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate or hazmat).
• Pass background checks, drug tests, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills and experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Multilingual abilities and commitment to continuous improvement.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA or CDLB) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration.

Drivers manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
