Accounting Coordinator

About this positionManage the accounting payables and receivables process and provide assistance to the Development department in tracking donations.
Responsibilities- Track, record, process, and manage all accounts payable transactions.
- Track, record, process, and manage all incoming payments payable transactions.
- Track, record, process, and manage all expense reimbursement transactions.
- Import and export financial data across different systems, including into and out of Sage Intacct accounting software.
- Answer and resolve all inquiries related to accounts payable or accounts receivable.
- Process and reconcile corporate credit card statements, including all required receipts and accounting information.
- Record, track, and reconcile all donor pledges and pledge payments.
- Maintain and submit monthly pledge schedules.
- Request, process, and maintain proper tax forms for all accounts payable vendors.
- Record and manage all 1099 and 1042 transactions throughout the year.
- Process all 1099 and 1042 filings once per year.
- Manage all annual state charitable registrations.
- Review and maintain all financial documentation, including invoices, cash receipts, and tax documents.
- Assist in providing required information for annual financial audits and tax filings.
- Assist team with any other financial inquiries or duties as needed.
- Minimum one (1) year prior experience as an Administrative and/or Accounting Assistant, preferably with a not-for-profit organization.
- Strong organizational and planning ability.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of accounts payable or basic bookkeeping a plus.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete follow-up.
